Carey Seminary exists to serve local churches by providing high-quality, Reformed ministry training, accessible to Spanish speakers worldwide.
our history
Carey Seminary began in a local church in Córdoba, Argentina where a young man wanted to be trained to plant a church in a remote part of Northern Argentina. The pastor started to meet with him to teach basic theology and how to study and teach the Bible. As time passed, this training became more formalized, and the idea of recording classes was launched.
What began with one church planter from one church in one country has grown to have an impact around the globe.
In addition to our in-person training and church-based study centers, Carey Seminary offers all of its programs 100% online, expanding access to sound, biblical training for Spanish speakers worldwide.
Today, Carey Seminary has over 400 students in over 15 countries studying in one of our seven academic programs. Not only do these students represent future Sunday school teachers, pastors, and church planters, they also represent the growing potential missionary force for the next era of missions history.
Student Testimonies
This year has been a huge blessing for me. The subjects I have been studying throughout the year have helped me grow in my relationship with God, and also helped me in the sermons I preach every Sunday…You have been a blessing to me from a distance through your gifts so that I could receive a scholarship. Despite the economic difficulties that we are going through as a country, you continue to be faithful to the Lord in your service and generosity towards me.
– Gastón, Argentina
First of all, I thank the Lord and you for your service and for helping advance His Kingdom. For several years, together with my husband, we have felt a burden from the Lord to serve in missions. That is why we consider the formal study of the Scriptures critical to better prepare for service and participation in the Great Commission. However, the economic situation in our home is very limited, so it would be of great help to me to access, if possible, a scholarship to facilitate my studies.
